Stick Your Landing: Partner Throws

On a whim, I grabbed a medicine ball and asked a gym member who was practicing the barbell clean, to catch it.

I realized, instead of trying to be mouthy about “catching the barbell, sticking your landing, elbows up fast” I wanted him to get a feel of what it would be like to catch himself in a good position to receive the medicine ball safely.

1) Drop and get elbows up fast.

2) Jump out to brace yourself. (Stick the landing)

3) Throw hard so they have to react with full body activation…and have fun with it. ;-) For instance, for every weak catch is one push up!
